How to generate a QR code

Enter the exact URL, text, email address, phone number or encoded WiFi string.
Choose the QR image size and white margin.

Scan-test the preview with a phone, then download the PNG.

Do static QR codes expire?

A static code stores its payload directly in the pattern, so it does not depend on a subscription or hosted redirect and does not have a built-in expiry date. A URL code will still fail if the destination page is moved, removed or blocked.

Create a WiFi QR code

You can encode WiFi details using the standard text format WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;;. Use a guest network where possible and do not publish a private-network password where unauthorized people can scan it.

Keep the code scannable

Keep the white margin around the pattern.
Do not stretch or crop the downloaded image.
Use a larger image for print.
Test the final printed or displayed version before distribution.

QR code privacy

The payload is rendered locally and is not sent to AlphaToolsKit for QR generation. Anyone who can scan the finished code can read the stored content, so do not encode secrets.

Does this QR code expire?

The generated code is static and has no built-in expiry. Linked content can still change or become unavailable.

What format can I download?

The current tool downloads a PNG image.

Can I create a WiFi QR code?

Yes. Enter a correctly formatted WiFi payload such as WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;; and scan-test it before sharing.

Is the entered text uploaded?

No. QR rendering runs in your browser.
