Change the pixel width and height of a JPG, PNG, WebP or other browser-supported image. The work happens locally in your browser and the current tool downloads the result as JPG.
How to resize an image
- Choose an image from your device.
- Enter the new width and height in pixels.
- Select Resize to create a preview.
- Check the proportions and download the resized JPG.
Avoid stretched images
The width and height fields are independent. To preserve the original shape, use dimensions with the same aspect ratio. For example, an image that is 1600 x 900 has a 16:9 ratio and can be resized proportionally to 800 x 450.
Pixels, quality and output
Reducing pixel dimensions is useful for websites, profile photos and forms that specify image width or height. Enlarging a small image cannot create missing detail and may make it look soft. This version produces JPG output, so transparency is not retained.
Private local processing
Your selected image is processed on your device and is not uploaded to AlphaToolsKit. Keep the original file and verify the output dimensions before submitting it to another service.
