What happens to PDF text?

Each page is rasterized into pixels. The JPG looks like the page, but its text is no longer selectable or searchable. This tool converts complete pages; it does not extract original embedded images from the PDF.

Quality and large files

Large documents and complex pages require more memory and processing time. Conversion quality is fixed in the current version. If a file is password protected, damaged or too large for the device, the browser may be unable to render it.

Private local processing

The PDF file is read and rendered in your browser rather than uploaded to AlphaToolsKit. The PDF rendering library is loaded from a third-party CDN, but your selected document does not need to be sent there.
